A massive drone and missile attack launched by Russia has struck the city of Sumy in northern Ukraine, killing eight people and wounding dozens, according to an official report on Sunday.

The devastating strike targeted a nine-story building located approximately 40 kilometers from the Russian border. Tragically, among those killed were not only adult victims but also two children, as confirmed by Ihor Klymenko, Ukraine's Minister of Internal Affairs.

In response to the attack, over 400 civilians were evacuated from the damaged building, with rescuers conducting a thorough search of each apartment to ensure that all survivors had been accounted for.
