Tucson Festival of Books Calls for Participants in Science City Neighborhoods
Tucson, AZ - The Tucson Festival of Books, acclaimed by Condé Nast Traveler as one of the top nine book festivals globally, is now inviting organizations to join its Science City Neighborhoods during the upcoming event on March 15-16 at the University of Arizona campus.
The festival, known for its vibrant celebration of literature and learning, is looking for groups to offer interactive experiences that delve into the realms of science, technology, engineering, and arts. These will be organized into thematic neighborhoods such as Art, Everyday Life, the Natural World, Tomorrow, and You, aiming to foster informal STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) education among attendees of all ages.
"Science City at the Tucson Festival of Books is a unique platform for enhancing public understanding and interest in science," said a festival spokesperson. "We encourage organizations to apply and help us in enriching our community's knowledge."
Applications for participation are due by November 20. Interested parties can apply through the festival's official website at tucsonfestivalofbooks.org/?id=534 or reach out for further details via email at sciencecity@tucsonfestivalofbooks.org.
Since its inception in 2009, the non-profit Tucson Festival of Books has not only grown to become the third largest book festival in the United States but has also raised over $2.2 million for literacy organizations in Tucson. This year, the festival anticipates welcoming over 130,000 attendees, continuing its tradition of promoting literacy and education in the community.
