RSS Chief Warns of Potential Third World War Amidst Global Conflicts

Jabalpur, Nov 11 (Alayaran.com) - In a sobering address at an event commemorating late Dr. Urmila Jamdar, a prominent Sangh woman leader from Madhya Pradesh’s Mahakoshal region, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat highlighted the ominous possibility of a third world war. Speaking on Sunday, Bhagwat noted, "We all feel the shadow of a third world war emerging, with discussions on whether it might begin in Ukraine or Gaza," reflecting on the ongoing conflicts between Russia-Ukraine and Israel-Hamas.
Bhagwat criticized the uneven distribution of scientific advancements, pointing out that while technological weapons capable of global destruction have proliferated, basic healthcare remains out of reach for many, especially in rural areas. "Medicine for some diseases might not be available in rural areas, but country-made revolvers do," he remarked, underscoring the skewed priorities in global development.
The RSS chief also voiced his concerns about environmental degradation, stating that it has reached a critical point where it is now contributing to various diseases.
In his discourse on Sanatan Dharma and its relevance, Bhagwat described service to humanity as the core of this ancient philosophy, equating it with Hinduism. He stressed that Hindutva could provide guidance to the world in these tumultuous times. Bhagwat traced the historical usage of the term 'Hindu', mentioning that it was first introduced in public discourse by Guru Nanak Dev, long before its mention in Indian scriptures.
This event not only served as a platform for Bhagwat to voice his concerns over global peace and environmental health but also highlighted the philosophical underpinnings of the RSS's worldview, advocating for a return to values that prioritize humanity and sustainability.
