Punjab University Hosts Successful Transfer of Technology Conference with Innovative Solutions
Chandigarh, December [Insert Date]: A gathering of 60 scientists from 32 institutes across India concluded the two-day Transfer of Technology Conference at Panjab University today, showcasing a diverse range of innovative technologies that could be adopted and commercialised by industry leaders.
Over 67 cutting-edge technologies were presented, including medical devices (19), pharmaceuticals (15), environment and energy (16), and engineering-related fields (17). This comprehensive display not only strengthened partnerships between academia and industry but also signified a significant leap in innovation adoption in India.
Moreover, three critical Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed during the conference. The Technology Enabling Centre (TEC) of PU collaborated with Punjab State Council for Science & Technology (PSCST) to bring this groundbreaking event together.
The heart of the conference revolved around transferring technology developed within academia settings into practical applications in industry. During the presentation, 60 scientists were allotted 10 minutes each to showcase their inventions – ranging from advancements in medical devices and pharmaceuticals, to pioneering innovations in artificial intelligence and Internet of Things (IoT).
