MODI, TRUMP, PUTIN AND CHINA MATTER ON THE WORLD FORUM, SAYS DLF'S CHAIRMAN EMERITUS KP SINGH
New Delhi: India's largest real estate developer, DLF, has been ably guiding the country's growth and transformation into a major economy. According to Chairman Emeritus of DLF, Kushal Pal Singh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is one of the four top leaders that matter at the world level, along with US President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
In an exclusive interview with Moneycontrol, Singh praises Modi's leadership as instrumental in changing India's image on a global level. India is poised to become the world's third-largest economy after the United States of America and China in the next few years, according to projection by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank.
Singh attributes this rapid growth to "good government policies, good entrepreneurs, and talented workers". He also credits Modi for changing the world's perception towards India. The Prime Minister has played a key role in shaping India's image on the global stage, which is reflected in Singh's statement that only these four leaders matter at the moment - Modi, Trump, Putin, and China.
Singh believes that India needs "drastic measures" in its urban master planning to address issues such as pollution and toxic air in Delhi NCR. He calls for a radical increase in investment in sustainable green buildings, which Singh's own company, DLF, has consistently promoted through its initiatives.
The Chairman Emeritus also offers advice to young entrepreneurs looking to make a mark in real estate, emphasizing the importance of ethics, moral values, and complying with regulations such as RERA (Real Estate Regulatory Authority). He also expresses confidence in India's future growth under Modi's leadership.
Singh recently released his second book, 'Why the Heck Not?', detailing his journey through one of India's most ambitious real estate transformations. The 95-year-old author continues to share his vision and insights on sustainable urban planning, green buildings, and India's potential for growth on the global stage.
"The world's perception towards India has changed dramatically in the last decade," Singh observes, reflecting on his own experiences as a leader in Indian business.
