Modi Opens Up:PM's Success Formula Revealed in Exclusive Podcast

NEW DELHI, Jan 10: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has revealed his success formula in an exclusive podcast, stating that it lies in preparing a team of capable leaders who can handle challenges.

The podcast, hosted by Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath and released on Friday, marks Modi's first appearance as the prime minister in a podcast. In the conversation, Modi discussed his ideology, which he describes as "nation first", saying that it is more than just an election slogan but a guiding principle for his governance.

"I see my success in how I prepare a team who can deftly handle things," Modi said. He also asserted that there are many young politicians with potential and declined to name any of them, stating that it would be injustice to many others.

Modi also emphasized the importance of continuous entry of good people into politics, who prioritize the mission over ambition. He highlighted his mantra of living a life with "no bad intention" and making mistakes as inevitable.

On women's participation in politics, Modi expressed hope that the recent move to reserve one-third seats for MLAs and Lok Sabha members will inspire more women to take up careers in politics. He also called upon them to work towards becoming capable leaders to prepare themselves for assemblies and Parliament.

In his candid conversation, Modi spoke about being a non-traditional politician, where his time is mostly spent on governance. He cited his "minimum government, maximum governance" policy as an effort to cut down lengthy official processes, which was often misinterpreted by some people.

The podcast also touched upon different phases of Modi's life, from his struggles in university to his experiences during education and election campaigns. The prime minister described himself as an ordinary student who studied merely to pass the exams but participated in various activities and was always curious.
