BJP Leader Embarks on Nation-Building Mission in Jammu and Kashmir
SAMBA, Nov 30: In a bid to promote national building and progress, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA from Samba constituency, Surjeet Singh Slathia, today inaugurated an Over Head Tank (OHT) at village Chak Medu Basotra Supwal, amidst a large gathering of local residents.
Slathia, who is also the Pradesh BJP vice president, expressed his commitment to fostering progress across all segments of society and emphasized that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, special emphasis has been given to implementing various welfare programmes to develop Jammu and Kashmir, making it an equal partner in the country's growth story.
"The holistic development in both regions is discernible in every sector," Slathia said during his interaction with locals. He hoped that the new dispensation would carry forward Prime Minister Modi's mission without betraying the developmental trajectory of the region.
The BJP leader assured the people that the party will not allow the tempo of progress and development to be derailed by keeping a watchful eye on governance, emphasizing the importance of inclusivity, good governance, and empowering every section of society, irrespective of region, religion, or caste.
Slathia also highlighted key achievements of the past five years' good governance, including major infrastructure projects, technological advancements, economic growth, and efforts towards ensuring delivery. He reiterates that the BJP is not just a political party but a movement dedicated to serving the nation, with its focus on spreading development, ensuring security, and safeguarding the dignity of every citizen.
The Rs 35,700 Crore Over Head Tank project at Chak Medu Basotra Supwal will include the construction of pump room buildings, pipelines, compound walls, installation of pumping machinery, electric substations, and other necessary infrastructure. Prominent persons such as Ex Sarpanch Brijpal Singh and others were also present on the occasion.
The BJP leader listened to the concerns raised by locals during the program and assured that these issues will be taken up at relevant levels for earnest redressal.
