Assam Governor Unveils Schemes to Harness Youth Potential
GUWAHATI, ASSAM: In an effort to galvanize the energetic potential of Assam's youth towards national growth, Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya introduced three groundbreaking schemes at Raj Bhavan, Guwahati on Saturday.
The initiatives aim to cultivate patriotism, civic responsibility, and community engagement among students across the state. The first scheme, "Rashtriya Kritagyata Evam Jagrookta Yojana", aims to instill gratitude in students towards armed forces personnel by partnering with the Directorate of Sainik Welfare, Assam.
Through interactive sessions featuring insights from current military personnel and ex-servicemen, thousands of students are being sensitized about their contributions. The initiative seeks to create awareness about the sacrifices made by armed forces personnel, promoting patriotism among the youth of Assam.
The second scheme, "Kartavya se Vikas Yojana", collaborated with Nehru Yuva Kendra, with the aim of invoking a sense of duty among youth towards nation-building. Through educational programs, it addresses fundamental themes of nationalism and integration, encouraging students to drive India toward the 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat' dream.
Meanwhile, "Amrit Sarovar - Sadbhavna Sangat Protsahan Yojana" seeks to transform Amrit Sarovars into community bonding hubs, incorporating eco-friendly advancements like solar plants. Governor Acharya emphasized the importance of these sites in fostering communal harmony, green activities, and national celebrations among the people of Assam.
At a ceremony attended by several top officials from the Assam government and academia, Governor Acharya reiterate the essential role of youth in societal transformation, advocating for innovative contributions towards the betterment of underprivileged sections of society. The critical importance of these schemes was highlighted during the event, marking an optimistic beginning for harnessing the energetic potential of Assam's youth.
