Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal Shares Heartwarming Love Story on National Television

New Delhi, March 23, 2024 - Deepinder Goyal, the CEO of Zomato and a familiar face from Shark Tank India Season 2, recently shared the charming tale of how he met his second wife, former Mexican model Grecia Munoz, now known as Gia Goyal, during an episode of "The Great Indian Kapil Sharma Show."

Goyal, who has been in the public eye for his entrepreneurial endeavors, revealed that his journey to find love took an unexpected turn when a friend introduced him to Grecia in New Delhi. "I was single for a long time, and my friends often played matchmaker, but this time, it was different. My friend was quite insistent that I meet Grecia, predicting she would be 'the one' for me," Goyal recounted.

The introduction led to an instant connection. "After our first meeting, I sensed a strong chemistry. I found out she was adept at yoga, so I suggested we meet again the next morning for a session. That was just the beginning," he shared. Their relationship blossomed from there, with Grecia initially unaware of Goyal's high-profile status as the founder of Zomato. "She didn't know about Zomato for months, which was refreshing because everyone else treated me as the Zomato founder," Goyal added.

The couple tied the knot earlier this year, and since then, Grecia, now Gia, has not only embraced life in India but has also become actively involved in Zomato’s operations. Recently, she even joined Goyal in a social experiment where they both delivered food as Zomato delivery personnel.

During the show, host Archana Puran Singh inquired about the proposal, to which Goyal humorously responded that their first yoga session was the real icebreaker, leading to more meetings and eventually, love.

This love story adds a personal touch to the life of Deepinder Goyal, who is otherwise known for his strategic business mind and contributions to India's food delivery landscape. The episode provided viewers with a delightful insight into the personal life of one of India's tech moguls, showcasing that even amidst business dealings and startup culture, romance can indeed find its way.
