Zendaya Opens Up About Health Scare on Set of 'Dune: Part Two'
Los Angeles [US], January 4 - Actress Zendaya recently revealed a harrowing experience she had while filming the sequel to 'Dune', titled "Dune: Part Two", at a remote desert location in Jordan. The Disney star shared a concerning tale with W Magazine, where she admitted that she suffered from heatstroke due to dehydration caused by her own fears of using the bathroom on set.
According to Zendaya, the nearest bathroom was located far away and the hike was too daunting for her not to drink enough water, which ultimately led her to opt out. However, when illness struck, with a severe episode of nausea setting in, she realized too late that staying hydrated is crucial.
The 'Spider-Man: No Way Home' actress recalled feeling so unwell on set that she had no choice but to call her mother to report her condition via the bathroom - making it clear how dire the situation had become for the actor.
"It was very hot, and I remember thinking, 'Oh, man, the bathrooms are so far away,' because we had to hike to the locations," Zendaya said. She continued explaining that her fear of peeing herself on set had led her not to consume enough water - which proved fatal when she encountered heatstroke.
The actress ultimately came to realize a hard lesson that evening: always stay hydrated especially in hot climates and with strenuous activities, lest you suffer from even more severe consequences than merely feeling terrible.
