Zelensky Reveals 'Good Conversations' with Trump Amidst Rising Russian Casualties

In a recent video address, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky disclosed that he had "good conversations" with former US President Donald Trump, hinting at ongoing dialogues that could have implications for US-Ukraine relations. This revelation comes at a time when Ukraine continues to face significant military pressure from Russia.
Meanwhile, Sir Tony Radakin, the UK's Chief of the Defence Staff, has claimed that Russia is experiencing its highest daily soldier casualties since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine began. Speaking to the BBC, Sir Tony highlighted that Russian forces are now suffering approximately 1,500 casualties per day. "Russia is about to suffer 700,000 people killed or wounded – the enormous pain and suffering that the Russian nation is having to bear because of Putin’s ambition," he stated, underscoring the heavy toll the conflict is exacting on Russia.
Despite territorial gains in eastern Ukraine, the Russian military's advances come at a steep price. The increased casualty figures might be directly linked to the aggressive push into Ukrainian territories.
In related developments, a significant Ukrainian drone attack targeted the Moscow region early this morning, leading Russia to temporarily close two of its major airports. The drones were intercepted and destroyed over the Ramenskoye and Kolomensky districts, according to Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, who reported no major damage or casualties. However, the incident prompted Russia's federal air transport agency to impose temporary restrictions on operations at Domodedovo and Zhukovo airports from 5:30 AM GMT.
As the war continues, both sides are experiencing significant military and civilian impacts, with the international community closely watching the evolving dynamics and the potential influence of international diplomacy, including those from past US leadership.
