Young Indians Light Up Perth as Australian Attack Crumbles

Perth, November 25 - The WACA ground's rich history of producing some of India's greatest batting talents has been rekindled once again, with a new crop of young stars showcasing their skill and technique against an Aussie attack struggling to cope.

The 18-year-old Sachin Tendulkar's incredible knock in 1992 still resonated as Virat Kohli made history by netting two half-centuries at the WACA 20 years later. Kohli then added fuel to flames by hammering an unbeaten 100 off 143 deliveries in the next few wickets, marking his 30th Test century and first after 16 months. With a thrilling declaration from Virat Bumrah, who took over bowling duties at 487/6, India limited Australia's target to 534 runs for the final two days of play.

Bumrah then turned the tables once more by decimating Australia for just 12 wickets on a pitch that was supposed to offer some late swing and bounce, although it offered very little when under the bat so Bumrah took matters into his own hands.
