YASHODA HOSTS TWO-DAY INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON ADVANCED INTERVENTIONAL CARDIOLOGY

Hyderabad, June 14 (Telangana Today): Yashoda Hospitals in Hyderabad has successfully hosted a two-day international conference and live workshop on advanced interventional cardiology, drawing participation from renowned cardiologists across the country and abroad.
The conference, which began at Yashoda Hospitals - Hitec City on Saturday, focused on showcasing cutting-edge treatments for heart ailments such as high cholesterol and advances in technologies like angioplasty and intravascular imaging. Delegates had the opportunity to learn about new therapies, including those related to preventative cardiology, innovative techniques like laser-assisted angioplasty, and specialized tools like rotablation and orbital atherectomy.
In a keynote address, Dr G S Rao, MD of Yashoda Hospitals and Yashoda Group, highlighted the importance of establishing medical centers of excellence across all fields of healthcare. He underscored the significance of this year's conference in terms of innovative treatments like intravascular imaging for clearing blood blockages from heart tissue.
During a session addressing participants, Dr. V Rajasekhar, Senior Cardiologist and Clinical Director at Yashoda Hitech City, shed light on advancements in non-surgical valve replacements using TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement) procedure as well as mitral valve repairs utilizing specialized clips.
