World Kindness Day: Celebrating the Power of Human Kinship in November

New Delhi [IN], Nov 5 (AI): With two weeks left in 2024's final month, diverse celebrations and events abound as people around the world commemorate World Kindness Day, shed light on critical causes like Tsunami awareness and push for a change by observing International Day for Elimination of Violence Against Women.

The first week of November started off with India giving tribute to it’s former Education Minister Maulana Abul Kalam Azad through National Education Day on Nov 11. His influence is profound given he was the first Education Ministry in the newly Independent Nation back in Dec1935 and served as its minister until Independence from British rule.

Over the past week, World Pneumonia Day took center stage with awareness about this critical disease reaching new heights with a focus to ensure public understanding of the nature and scope. Health professionals all over India have been holding rallies along with seminars, talks highlighting what's happening inside pneumonia's realm and offering solutions.

Following in steps of promoting social and environmental issues is the International World Tsunami Alert Day observed on November 5; for those in the know this day highlights tsunami risks – a crucial part that needs our attention. World Kindness day also has to be given a nod as is takes place on November 13th.

However, it wasn't all doom. People around India had found solace and some food for soul from two events National Nachos Day on Nov 6 which celebrates nacho or tortilla chips topped with cheese but then what was previously celebrated by our sports enthusiasts got a surprise boost in form of the National Nachos day celebration, while children made the most out of their lives as it is World Children’s Day where we honor India's first prime minister and former leader who initiated education across states.

Cancer patients have reason to rejoice. After former Union Minister Harsh Vardhan declared Nov 7th to be a National Cancer Awareness Day back in 2014, the aim is now clear to raise awareness about cancer from its initial stages. Even on November 25 that marks International day of elimination of violence against women, people came all out for change.

So, grab your nacho chips as you're part of the movement celebrating Nachos, spread kindness while having snacks too or give a helping hand out there so we become better humans – it’s really simple but what world may give to us if we keep such gestures on repeat.
