Waack Girls Dance Series to Hit Prime Video on November 22
New Delhi (PTI) - Renowned filmmaker and writer Sooni Taraporevala is set to entertain audiences with her brand new dance series, "Waack Girls", which will be streaming exclusively on Prime Video from November 22.
The nine-episode series revolves around the journey of six talented dancers as they form a dance group in Kolkata that showcases their passion for waacking. With a refreshing twist that goes beyond the usual dance show narrative, each character brings unique issues and problems to the table, making the series relatable to diverse audiences.
Sooni Taraporevala is thrilled to present "Waack Girls", saying she "fell in love" with the dance style after witnessing Mekhola Bose's performance. She aims to captivate viewers with an unconventional yet fun story inspired by Bose's waacking abilities.
The cast includes prominent artists like Mekhola Bose, Anasua Chowdhury, Rytasha Rathore, Chrisann Pereira, Priyam Saha, Ruby Sah and Barun Chanda, among others. The series boasts a talented ensemble with its release across multiple languages – Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada.
