Voltamp Starts Groundbreaking on New Transformer Factory
In a significant move to cater to the growing demands of the transformer market, Voltamp Transformers Ltd has commenced construction on its new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Gujarat.
The company has chosen Jarod in Vadodara district as the site for the new factory, and all necessary formalities related to land acquisition have been completed. The construction of the factory building is now underway.
According to sources, the new facility has been planned with a promising demand scenario over the next 7-10 years in mind. With an estimated annual production capacity of around 6,000 MVA in the first phase, the factory will initially produce transformers up to 250 MVA capacity, operating within the 220 kV voltage class.
Should market demands dictate otherwise, the company has expressed its intention to expand the facility's capacity in the future. This new addition is set to augment Voltamp's existing manufacturing units at Makarpura and Vadadla in Gujarat.
The construction of this new factory marks an exciting development for Voltamp Transformers Ltd, which promises to further strengthen its position in the transformer market. As the industry continues to evolve, it will be intriguing to see how this latest investment shapes up for the company.
