Visakhapatnam Emerges as Prime Entertainment and Filming Hub
Visakhapatnam, known for its picturesque coastline and vibrant cultural scene, is rapidly becoming a focal point for entertainment events and film productions, attracting a surge of activities that spotlight its growing appeal in the industry.
In the past month, the city has buzzed with activity, hosting numerous high-profile events. Notable among these were the pre-release functions for films starring actors Ram Pothineni and Surya. On Sunday, the city's Beach Road was the venue for two major events: the pre-release function for the movie 'Matka,' which attracted throngs of fans, and the 'Jam Junxion' musical night, enhancing Visakhapatnam's reputation as a go-to entertainment destination.
The serene beauty of Visakhapatnam has not only captivated event organizers but also filmmakers. This year alone, the city has been a shooting location for films starring top actors like Rajinikanth, Ram Charan, Varun Tej, Anand Devarakonda, Shruti Haasan, Sandeep Kishan, and Raj Tharun, who have filmed substantial parts of their upcoming movies here.
The entertainment calendar for Visakhapatnam shows no signs of slowing down. Upcoming events include concerts by celebrated singers Sunitha and Ram Miriyala, alongside a robust comedy scene with shows like Tuesday Comedy Open Mic, Almost Maybe, and Improv Comedy Jam.
Shreya, a seasoned event manager in the private arts sector, shared insights into the logistics behind these events. "We start planning 9 to 10 months ahead. Ticket sales kick off 2 to 3 months before the event, followed by strategic collaborations with digital marketing teams and influencers for publicity," she explained.
"Visakhapatnam is definitely trending in the entertainment industry," Shreya added, underscoring the city's rising status in the entertainment landscape.
With its scenic locales, infrastructure improvements, and a calendar packed with high-caliber events, Visakhapatnam is not just a city on the rise but a destination that's setting the stage for entertainment in South India.
