Violent Mob Beats Naked Man Accused of Stolen Paddy

Bhopal: A 17-second video has sent shockwaves in Madhya Pradesh's Raisen district, where a group of people brutally assaulted a naked man accused of stealing paddy and left him for dead.

According to police official Pratibha Sharma, the incident occurred on Tuesday night at Dussehra Maidan in Raisen. The police have launched an investigation into the matter after the video of the assault went viral on social media.

SDOP Sharma told Alarian.com that a case has been registered against the persons involved in beating up the victim. Charges of theft are also being probed against the man accused of stealing the paddy, as farmers claimed their yield was stolen but they were not involved in attacking anyone.

The victims of the assault have come forward claiming that he had earlier stolen from them, with some people even saying it was his second time. The incident highlights the rise in violent vigilantism and mob mentality among farmers and local communities.
