US Plunges into Constitutional Crisis Under Trump: Constitutional Expert Alarms Nation

A constitutional crisis has descended upon the United States under the presidency of Donald Trump, according to Erwin Chemerinsky, dean of the law school at the University of California, Berkeley.

These actions, according to Chimersky, have never been seen before in the annals of US history. He warned that once one starts down this slippery slope, it can quickly escalate into "something much worse".

The constitutional expert expressed alarm at the rapid slide towards a full-blown crisis under Trump's presidency. His statement highlights the increasingly divided tone between the executive and judicial branches of government, as well as civil society.
