Ullas Library and Science Kit Programme Empowers Rural Indian Youth with Holistic Learning Experience

Mumbai, Nov 29, 2024: In a groundbreaking initiative to bridge the educational divide in rural India, Ullas Trust and partnering organizations Intellect Design Arena and Mission Samriddhi have launched a comprehensive library and science kit program across 23 schools in Wardha district of Maharashtra. The mission aims to upgrade the learning experience for over 2,000 students, enhancing their reading skills, scientific temperament, and overall academic growth.

In partnership with Intellect Design Arena, an enterprise-grade financial technology leader, Ullas Trust has collaborated with Mission Samriddhi, a social impact platform focused on rural development. Together, they have brought the Ullas Library and Science Kit program to 23 schools in diverse zila parishads and government-aided high schools across nine clusters of Wardha district.

The initiative's key objective is to enrich students' learning environments by providing access to diverse knowledge and resources. Over 500 children's storybooks, science kits for labs, and iron book racks have been installed at participating schools to foster a child-friendly environment where curiosity and critical thinking thrive.

The program has garnered endorsements from local officials, including the Block Education Officer, Wardha District (BEO), Dr. D Kumbhare, who highlighted that knowledge is true power and essential for academic excellence and confidence growth. State Program Manager of Mission Samriddhi, Kishor Jagtap, emphasized that this initiative contributes to the overall development of students by cultivating creative thinking skills and preparing them for a futuristic environment.

For Ullas Trust and Intellect Design Arena, CMD Arun Jain stated that this initiative represents a significant step towards equal educational opportunities in rural India. By harnessing learning resources and igniting curiosity, their goal is to build a culture of lifelong learning from early childhood, equipping students with possibilities and purposeful growth beyond socio-economic boundaries.

Wardha district, situated in the Nagpur division of Maharashtra, has seen significant efforts toward enhancing school infrastructure, including libraries, where this initiative significantly enhances access and knowledge sharing. As India strives for a 'Viksit Bharat,' programs like Ullas Library and Science Kit serve as empowering tools to foster collective growth and empower future generations.
