Turkey Unveils First Quantum Computer, QuanT: A Giant Leap for National Technological Advancements
Ankara, November 22, 2024 - Turkey has taken a historic step in advancing its technological capabilities with the launch of its first quantum computer, QuanT. Developed by the TOBB University of Economics and Technology (TOBB ETÜ), this 5-qubit system was unveiled on November 21, 2024, at the TOBB ETÜ Technology Center.
The groundbreaking moment marks a significant milestone in Turkey's journey towards becoming a leading player in quantum technologies. According to sources, QuanT is expected to have a profound impact on various fields such as cryptography, artificial intelligence, defense, and material science, solidifying Turkey's competitive edge in the global quantum technology landscape.
