TSUNAMIS TO TRUMPERS: THE SIGNIFICANT DAYS COMING UP IN NOVEMBER 2024

As the second last month of the year, November contains a diverse array of significant days, observances, and national and international events that cover crucial social, environmental, and cultural issues. From celebrations and awareness days to international events, here's what's in store for us this November.

Nov 2 marked All Souls' Day, a day dedicated to remembering the deceased. Meanwhile, Nov 4 saw the launch of World Public Transport Day , which aims bring awareness about transportation.

On Nov 8, it was World Radiography Day . It marks the discovery by Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen in 1895 of X-rays, and has been celebrating since then since then. Former Union Health Minister Dr Harsh Vardhan declared November 7 as National Cancer Awareness Day from the year 2014.

For food lovers out there, Nov 10 will see World Immunisation Day . And on this day we aim to improve public awareness by providing accurate information for better prevention of a disease through correct use of vaccines (Immunization) thus saving lives. The day comes after another World Child day and hence it can not be considered an event related to children only.

Meanwhile, Nov 13 will see World Kindness Day. And in this context kindness should also mean the help that is given to our disabled friends through technology.

On Nov 20 will see International Men's Day.

In sports the National Education Day on November 11 has already come and gone. India celebrates this national day for education every year, on the birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. He was the pioneer teacher of Independent India and is considered a prominent figure in its educational landscape.

The last week of November includes International Day Of Solidarity with Palestinian People - on November 29 it being black Friday- (and International day for elimination of violence against women).
