Trump Unveils First Moves in Second Term Administration

As Donald Trump began his second stint in the White House, he started making announcements about who would join him in his administration. The developments came ahead of a highly anticipated presidential inauguration.

Among those confirmed to be part of the president-elect's cabinet is Susie Wiles, a veteran Republican campaign manager and chief-of-staff designate. The 67-year-old from Florida made history by becoming the first female chief-of-staff in American politics.

Additionally, Trump announced that Elise Stefanik would serve as US ambassador to the United Nations. After building her national profile as an unwavering ally of the president-elect, Stefanik was offered the role following anonymous sources citing two sources.

On the other hand, Trump confirmed he will not be inviting former US Ambassador Nikki Haley or ex-Secretary of State Mike Pompeo back to serve in his second-term cabinet.

Tech billionaire Elon Musk is reportedly set for a key position - leading a new Department of Government Efficiency. The department aims to audit the entire US federal government and cut through bureaucracy, as both Trump and Musk believe it has long hobbled America's progress.

Also on board are Robert F Kennedy Jr., who will focus on health policy after abandoning his independent presidential campaign to support Trump; and Richard Grenell, an outspoken national security adviser candidate with controversy surrounding his foreign dealings and personality.

Other names rumored to be in consideration for various cabinet spots include Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, Don Jr and Eric Trump, Marco Rubio, Bill Hagerty, Robert O'Brien, Larry Kudlow, John Paulson, and Lara Trump.

These moves signal a new era of administration leadership, as Trump aims to build on his successes from his first term.
