Trump Starts Filling White House Team After Historic Election Win

US President-elect Donald Trump has begun selecting members of his administration as he starts preparing to take over the White House.

The process of appointing top advisors and officials began on Sunday evening when Trump announced Tom Homan, a former acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), would head up efforts to control US borders and deport undocumented immigrants.

Homan's appointment has been welcomed by some right-wing groups but criticized by immigration reform advocates. He will take over a role previously held by ICE Director, who stepped down amidst controversy over anti-immigrant policies.

As Trump starts filling key positions in his new administration, several high-profile individuals are vying for spots, including billionaire Elon Musk, vaccine skeptic Robert F Kennedy Jr, and former National Security Adviser Richard Grenell.
