Trump Jr Claims Biden Administration Seeks World War III as US Supports Ukraine
In a recent social media post, Donald Trump Jr., 46, accused the Biden administration of attempting to initiate a major conflict between Ukraine and Russia in order to destabilise his father's presidency. This claim comes as President Joe Biden, 81, gave permission for Ukrainian forces to utilise American-provided long-range missiles for strikes within Russian territory.
The authorisation allows Ukrainian forces to deploy US-manufactured Army Tactical Missile Systems in the Kursk region, situated along the northeastern border between the nations, which has a range of approximately 190 miles with substantial explosive capability. Ukraine has indicated its readiness to utilise the newly authorised weapons shortly after extended requests for permission.
February marks three years since Russia's invasion, resulting in numerous Ukrainian civilian casualties. Trump, 78, has committed to ending the conflict and has communicated with both Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian leader Vladimir Putin following his electoral victory this month.
As President Trump has said on the campaign trail, he is the only person who can bring both sides together in order to negotiate peace, and work towards ending the war and stopping the killing. However, the incoming president has yet to disclose specific details regarding his strategy to conclude the war.
Donald Trump Jr., as one of Trump's five children and with a strong connection to his father's political endeavours, reportedly holds significant influence in the transition team, particularly regarding the selection of controversial cabinet appointments.
