Trump Jr Claims Biden Admin Pushing for World War III as America Backs Ukraine
In a series of tweets on Sunday, Donald Trump Jr, 46, launched a scathing attack on President Joe Biden's administration, suggesting that their support for Ukraine is an attempt to destabilize his father's presidency and initiate a major conflict.
According to Trump Jr, the US defense establishment aims to make sure "they get World War 3 going before my father has a chance to create peace and save lives". This assertion comes as President Biden granted permission for Ukrainian forces to utilize American-provided long-range missiles for strikes within Russian territory.
The authorisation allows Ukrainian forces to deploy US-manufactured Army Tactical Missile Systems in the Kursk region, situated along the northeastern border between the two nations. These missiles possess a range of approximately 190 miles with substantial explosive capability.
Ukraine has indicated its readiness to utilize the newly authorised weapons shortly after extended requests for permission to employ American missiles amidst significant military setbacks.
The Biden administration's shift in strategy comes as February marks three years since Russia's invasion, which resulted in numerous Ukrainian civilian casualties. The current conflict has left thousands dead and millions displaced.
President-elect Donald Trump has committed to ending the conflict on his campaign trail and communicated with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian leader Vladimir Putin following his electoral victory this month.
Trump's communications director Steven Cheung informed The Post that "as President Trump has said on the campaign trail, he is the only person who can bring both sides together in order to negotiate peace, and work towards ending the war and stopping the killing".
The incoming president has yet to disclose specific details regarding his strategy to conclude the war, but among Trump's five children, Trump Jr maintains the strongest connection to his father's political endeavours and reportedly holds significant influence in the transition team, particularly regarding the selection of controversial cabinet appointments.
