Trump Jr Assesses US Ukraine Policy as Attempt to Incite Conflict Before His Father's Presidency
Washington D.C., USA - In a series of tweets on Sunday, Donald Trump Jr claimed that the Biden administration is seeking to escalate the conflict in Ukraine with American support, an apparent attempt to destabilise his father's presidency.
" The Military Industrial Complex seems to want to make sure they get World War 3 going before my father has a chance to create peace and save lives," he tweeted. "Gotta lock in those $Trillions. Life be damned!!! Imbeciles!"
Trump Jr's comment comes ahead of President Joe Biden granting permission for Ukrainian forces to utilize American-provided long-range missiles for strikes within Russian territory, significantly shifting from his administration's previous conflict-reduction strategies.
"The authorisation allows Ukrainian forces to deploy US-manufactured Army Tactical Missile Systems in the Kursk region, situated along the northeastern border between the two nations," a source revealed. "These missiles possess a range of approximately 190 miles with substantial explosive capability."
Ukraine had extended requests for permission to employ these American missiles due to significant military setbacks suffered over the past three years since Russia's invasion, which has resulted in numerous civilian casualties.
President-elect Donald Trump, who has committed to ending the conflict through negotiation, communicated with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin after his electoral victory last month. However, he has yet to disclose specifics about his strategy for concluding the war.
Among Trump's five children, Trump Jr. maintains the strongest link to his father's political efforts and reportedly holds significant influence in the transition team, particularly regarding selected cabinet appointments.
The Biden administration's actions have raised questions over whether they are aligning their policies with their predecessors or seeking a new path forward.
