In a nail-biting finish at the cricket match, Tristan Stubbs was named Player of the Match for his pivotal role in guiding his team to victory. Reflecting on the game, Stubbs commented, "The run rate never got away from us. Coetzee came in and played that innings in the end, and we got over the line."

Stubbs highlighted the confidence brought by teammate Coetzee, who upon entering the crease, confidently asserted they could win. "He (Coetzee) walked in and said we can win this. It was always two hits away from being back to run-a-ball," Stubbs added, emphasizing the team's strategy to keep the pressure on despite the tense situation.

The match was particularly special for Stubbs, as he celebrated his mother's birthday with around 20-30 family members in attendance. "This is my favourite place to play cricket. I was nervous, so I was trying to control my breathing," he shared, noting the emotional weight of performing well on such a personal day.
