Title: Delhi Pollution: Supreme Court Extends GRAP 4 Measures Till Monday; Schools Run on Hybrid Mode Amid Concern Over Air Quality

In a move to combat worsening air pollution in Delhi, the Supreme Court of India has extended the guidelines issued under the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) 4 till Monday. As per the new orders, the government has been directed to run schools in hybrid mode until further notice due to severe pollution.

According to reports, the apex court took this decision after reviewing the current air quality index of Delhi, which showed a significant increase over the past few days.

Earlier today, the national capital reported an air quality index of 317, surpassing the 'Very Poor' threshold. This is one of the worst levels recorded in recent years in Delhi, prompting concerns among authorities and residents alike.

As measures to combat pollution intensify, schools across Delhi must now adopt a hybrid learning model. Students were allowed to attend school on alternate days from Monday onwards. However, due to persistent air quality issues, the Supreme Court has advised that all students should use the 'hybrid' mode of virtual class until further notice is issued.

The Delhi government had been under pressure to take more stringent measures to improve air quality after data showed a massive spike in air pollutants over the past few days. GRAP 4 guidelines have become an essential tool in managing pollution levels in India's capital city.
