Telangana College Hosts One-Day Workshop on Hybridoma Technology
A one-day workshop on "Hybridoma Technology and Innovations" was conducted by the Zoology department of Telangana Social Welfare Residential Degree College for Women at Nagunuru, on the outskirts of Karimnagar town, on Saturday. The event aimed to educate students about the importance and applications of hybridoma technology.
Biotechnology engineer Dr. D. Karthik Varma from Hyderabad was the chief guest speaker at the workshop. He explained the significance of hybridoma technology, including fermentation technology, preparation of virus vaccines, production of biotechnology tools, monoclonal antibodies, and other related topics.
The Zoology department team, led by convenor M. Kalyani, co-convenor Imrose Shahewar, and organising members A Sandhya Rani, along with Microbiology department head K Geetha Rani, organised the workshop to provide students with a platform to gain knowledge on hybridoma technology.
Several college officials, including Principal T. Malathi, Vice-Principal G. Samatha, and faculty members S. Padmaja, N. Srilatha, Pravitha, Mushrath Butool, M. Radhika, Chaitanya, and Spandana, attended the event and participated in discussions.
The successful completion of this workshop is seen as a step forward for Telangana Social Welfare Residential Degree College for Women to promote awareness about biotechnology and hybridoma technology among its students.
