MANCHESTER, England - Taylor Swift emerged as the night's biggest winner at the 2024 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs) held at Co-op Live in Manchester, securing four prestigious awards. The global superstar, currently wrapping up her Eras tour in the U.S., clinched titles for best artist, best U.S. act, best live act, and best video for her collaboration with Post Malone, "Fortnight." The ceremony kicked off with a stunning performance by Benson Boone, who was dramatically suspended above the stage on a gold grand piano, delivering his hits "Beautiful Things" and "Slow it Down." Boone also celebrated his first EMA win for best new act.
South African sensation Tyla made a significant impact, winning in three categories: best afrobeats, best R&B, and best African act. She electrified the audience with performances of her hit "Water" and the vibrant "Push 2 Start."
Host Rita Ora, marking her third time hosting the EMAs, took a poignant moment to remember former One Direction member Liam Payne, who tragically passed away last month.
