Tata Steel Organises Senior Citizen Golf Putting Championship at JRD Tata Sports Complex

Jamshedpur, December 31: The Tata Steel Sports Department recently hosted a Senior citizen Golf Putting Championship as part of their ongoing efforts to promote fun and fitness among elderly citizens under the banner of the Senior Citizen Fun and Fitness League. The event was held at the stadium's golf putting ground, where 21 participants gathered to showcase their skills.

The tournament saw enthusiastic participation from both men and women in various age categories. In the Ladies category, Rekha Jha, Raveena Duggal, and Vinita Rai emerged as the winners, while M.K. Jha took his place among the top three contestants in the Men’s (55-65 years) category alongside Ravi Bhusan and Kripal Singh.

The event, which crowned Basudev Chowdhary, T.P. Sinha, and a tie between J.B. Sinha and Ashok Kr. Jha as winners of the Men's (65+ years) category, was coordinated by Dinesh Rakshit and Neelam Kumari of Tata Steel sports department with support from other officials.

On the occasion, Chief Sports officer Mukul Vinayak Choudhari gave away prizes to all the winners, congratulating them on their achievements. The event is a testament to Tata Steel's commitment to promoting healthy living among senior citizens in the community.
