SPRINGLAINS LORD'S CELEBRATIONS: SOUTH AFRICA MARKS 28-YEAR CHAMPIONSHIP WIN

London, England - As one day after securing their historic victory over Australia, South Africa's iconic ICC World Test Championship squad descended upon Lord's Cricket Ground on Monday for a grand celebration.
The entire 15-player team, accompanied by the famous mace, arrived at the Home of Cricket to commemorate their five-wicket triumph over Australia, clinching the World Test Championship Final. This achievement marks South Africa's first victory in an ICC tournament in an astonishing 28 years.
Onlookers reported that players and support staff were in high spirits as they reunited one last time at Lord's before returning to South Africa. All-rounder Wiaan Mulder described the celebrations as "spirited", acknowledging that his sleep had been minimal since arriving in London due to nerves before the Ultimate Test, followed by still-being-taken toll from the previous day's festivities.
Mulder expressed that it was a collective effort from Western Province players who set the tone for the celebration. He highlighted Kyle Verreynne, Dane Paterson, David Bedingham, and batting coach Ashwell Prince as key leaders of the team in embracing victory with unbridled enthusiasm.
In addition to team achievements, Mulder revealed he had received numerous messages of congratulations from family members back home in South Africa and, indeed, even engaged in a phone conversation with Australian batter Travis Head.
"Aussies always think about being 'nasty' at times," Mulder stated, "but I believe these players are genuine champions," adding that their unwavering consistency throughout each match is evidence of their superiority in the sport.
