We expect a spectacular surge in visitors this season, thereby bolstering local livelihoods and repositioning our appeal through the lense of vibrant winter sports."
Bhat underscored that during the upcoming season, some exciting features will include elaborate ice skating sessions alongside extensive snow skiing programs specifically designed to attract tourists, emphasizing an enhanced tourist experience.
"We have secured approximately 300 rooms available for guests daily," Bhat stated in reference to our conversation. "To further elevate travelers' convenience and experiences, SDA has also begun developing a range of additional infrastructure supporting winter sports events."
Bhat added with confidence that this drive encompasses measures geared towards preventing the area from pollution. Measures are underway for cleaning the region to make Sonamarg free of garbage and plastic, making it an ideal destination amidst pristine natural splendor.
The news was welcomed by hoteliers as well as traders in anticipation of the upcoming winter season's influx of tourists, which stands a chance at surpassing summer visitor numbers.
