Six Young Researchers Received Infosys Prize 2024
Bangalore, India: The Infosys Science Foundation (ISF) announced the winners of the Infosys Prize 2024 on Thursday, recognizing six young researchers under 40 across various fields at an esteemed ceremony.
The winners received a gold medal, a citation, and a prize purse of USD 100,000 or equivalent in INR. The ISF made a strategic shift this year to focus on early-career researchers, emphasizing the importance of identifying potential talent that can make groundbreaking discoveries.
Speaking about the prize, Kris Gopalakrishnan, President of the ISF, stated that "The Infosys Prize has played a pivotal role in recognizing brilliant minds whose contributions shape the future of research and science. This year, we refocused to reward early-career researchers under 40, acknowledging their immense potential to lead paradigm-shifting discoveries."
