Six Students Die in Tragic Road Accident in Uttarakhand's Dehradun

A devastating road accident occurred in Dehradun, Uttarakhand on Tuesday morning, claiming the lives of six students. The incident happened near the ONGC intersection at 2 a.m., when a truck collided with an Innova car, shattering it into multiple pieces.

Seven students were reportedly in the car at the time of the accident, out of which six died instantly while one succumbed to their injuries and was rushed to Doon Hospital. The students, all from private colleges, were on their way back home from a trip when the fatal incident occurred.

According to eyewitnesses, the truck's driver fled the scene after colliding with the Innova, leaving behind his vehicle. Police quickly responded to the emergency call and managed to recover the bodies of the victims from the severely damaged car. The bodies of five students were transported to Doon Hospital, while another was taken to Mahant Indresh Hospital.

The deceased students were identified as Guneet (19), Kamakshi (20), Navya Goyal (23), Rishabh Jain (24), Kunal Kukreja (23), and Atul Agarwal (24). Unfortunately, the truck's driver managed to evade capture.

The police investigation is currently underway, with Senior Police Officer (SPO) visiting Doon Hospital to oversee the proceedings. The motive behind the incident remains unclear as further investigations are ongoing.

As news of the tragedy spread, the nation has rallied around the families of the victims, offering condolences and support.
