Sisters Take Helm of Brigade Group, See Tremendous Growth under Their Leadership

Mumbai, [Current Date] - Since taking over as the leaders of the renowned IT hub firm, Brigade Group in 2022, sisters Pavitra and Nirupa Shankar have embarked on an extraordinary journey of growth and expansion. The group's flagship entity, Brigade Enterprises, has seen its operating revenue soar by 42% year-on-year to 4,987 crore in FY24, with a net profit that jumped 80% over the previous year to401 crore.

The sisters' journey continues unabated even amidst challenges. In the April-June quarter of FY25, the group's top line surged another 65%, driven by spiking demand for its homes and office spaces. When Brigade management launched a qualified institutional placement in September, it was over-subscribed by 10 times, raking in `1,500 crore as shares were offered at a discounted rate.

In an exclusive interview with Daily Alayaran.com, Pavitra Shankar, MD of Brigade Enterprises, spoke about the group's remarkable resilience. "India's macroeconomic elements seem to be positive and it is a growth phase for the real estate space," she said. "So, it is essential that we enhance our share in the markets we operate."

Pavitra, who oversees the group's residential development business, attributes their success to her keen eye for catching trends. She is betting on the premium residential space, particularly in Hyderabad and Chennai.
