Sharp Sight Eye Hospitals Camps in Prayagraj for Largest Free Eye Care Initiative
JAMMU, Jan 15: In a move aimed at transforming lives by providing accessible and comprehensive vision care services to pilgrims and visitors, Sharp Sight Eye Hospitals recently set up its camp at Mahakumbh in Prayagraj. This initiative is part of the largest free eye care camp ever undertaken in the world, collaborating with the Netra Kumbh.
According to sources from Sharp Sight Eye Hospitals, the camp aims to provide a comprehensive range of services to individuals struggling with poor vision. "Netra Kumbh is not just about restoring sight; it's about restoring hope and dignity to those who have been silently suffering due to poor vision," said Dr (Col) Sudheer Verma, Senior Consultant at Sharp Sight Eye Hospitals.
The hospital's CEO, Deepshika Sharma, noted that this collaboration "represents a groundbreaking step towards addressing the eye health needs of millions." She further emphasized that clear vision enhances daily living and empowers individuals to lead productive and fulfilling lives.
During its 50-day duration, the camp plans to conduct over 5 million free eye tests, deploy an expert team of 500 ophthalmologists for specialized diagnostics and consultations, distribute over 3 million spectacles to those needing refractive corrections, engage 1,000 optometrists for smooth execution, and perform 50,000 eye surgeries for individuals suffering from severe vision impairments.
The initiative signifies the alignment of Sharp Sight Eye Hospitals with the spiritual and humanitarian values of Mahakumbh. The collaboration is being hailed as a testament to the scale and compassion of Netra Kumbh projects that bring hope and care to millions globally.
