Scholastic Entertainment's Beloved Classics Go Global through 9 Story's New VOD Distributions

TORONTO, ON — In a significant expansion of digital offerings, 9 Story's digital division has made available over 700 half-hours of classic Scholastic Entertainment content across leading VOD streaming platforms, including Peacock, The Roku Channel, and Tubi. This move marks the beginning of a new era for Scholastic Entertainment's iconic brands, as 9 Story leverages new synergies to broaden access to its catalogue of children's series.

A recent VOD launch wave has introduced titles such as Clifford the Big Red Dog, Goosebumps, and The Magic School Bus to online platforms in North America, Australia, and Canada. The expansion of these classic series on digital platforms is driven by strong demand for nostalgic content across various age groups. According to Elianne Friend, VP of Digital & Distribution at 9 Story Media Group, "We're seeing a surge in interest from both original fans and new generations of viewers who are discovering our beloved brands for the first time."

More classic series set for broader distribution later this year include The Baby-Sitters Club, Horrible Histories, and Astroblast. 9 Story's digital division aims to continue to expand Scholastic Entertainment's incredible catalogue across VOD streaming platforms worldwide.

Fans can now enjoy exclusive access to full episodes of these beloved series on popular streaming platforms, including:

  • Clifford the Big Red Dog (2001) and Clifford's Puppy Days (2003) launched on The Roku Channel (US) and Tubi (US, Canada, Australia) in September 2024.
  • The Magic School Bus (1994) rolled onto Tubi (US, Canada, Australia) in July 2024, followed by its launch on Peacock (US) in February 2025.
  • Goosebumps (1995) had a Halloween debut on The Roku Channel (US) and Tubi (US, Canada, Australia), followed by its launch on Peacock (US) in December 2024.

In addition to expanding across VOD platforms, Scholastic Entertainment's classic content offerings are now available with the introduction of four dedicated YouTube channels. Since their launch, these channels have garnered significant engagement and growth, featuring over 112,000 cumulative subscribers, over 50 million views, and more than 560 uploads.

For a one-stop destination for all Scholastic's most iconic brands, the Scholastic Classic YouTube Channel debuted in September 2024, with additional nostalgic favourites set to be added this spring. Separate channels focusing on Clifford, The Magic School Bus, Goosebumps, Animorphs, and more have also been launched, showcasing a multi-format approach that blends full episodes, clips, compilations, live streams, and vertical shorts to meet audiences at every touchpoint.

The new distribution deals underpin 9 Story's continued partnership with Scholastic Entertainment to bring the world of beloved children’s entertainment to digital platforms.
