Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology Hosts 34th Convocation Ceremony

Thiruvananthapuram: Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology has hosted its 34th convocation ceremony on June 14, 2025, where a total of 5,117 students received their degrees. The highest package offered was a record-breaking Rs 41.2 lakh per annum (LPA), while the average package stood at a respectable Rs 5.7 LPA.

The academic year witnessed an overwhelming response from over 380 recruiters, with a staggering 92.74% of students securing employment through the campus recruitment programme. Job offers were made in prominent industries such as information technology, core engineering, finance, consulting, analytics, and research.

A total of 4,221 undergraduate students, 817 postgraduate students, and 79 Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) scholars received their degrees on this significant occasion. Among them, an impressive 54 students were awarded with gold medals for their exemplary academic performances.

Amazon topped the list as the highest package was offered by the tech giant at Rs 41.2 lakh per annum. The institute's efforts have paid off, with more than 40% of the students receiving job offers categorized as "Dream, Super Dream, or Elite offers".

The convocation ceremony also saw the presence of distinguished guests, including Indian film director, screen writer, and producer Atlee Kumar, who was presented with an honorary doctorate (Honoris Causa). The event witnessed the gracing of the occasion by founder chancellor Jeppiaar, along with other high-ranking dignitaries.

As part of its continued commitment to excellence, Sathyabama Institute recently celebrated its Excellence Day on April 5. The institute offers a wide range of popular courses, including Bachelor of Engineering/Bachelor of Technology (BE/BTech), Master of Business Administration (MBA) in various subjects, and Master of Science (MSc).
