Russian Drone and Missile Attack on Ukrainian City Leaves Eight Dead and Scores Injured

A devastating drone and missile attack launched by Russia early on Sunday has left at least eight people dead, with dozens more injured, in the city of Sumy in northern Ukraine.

In a tragic turn of events, the attack targeted a nine-story building located approximately 24 miles from the Russian border. The building was evacuated after more than 400 people were pulled to safety. However, the ongoing devastation left many trapped inside, and rescue efforts are currently underway to locate and extract those who might still be in the damaged apartment.

The Ukrainian government has confirmed that two of the victims killed in the attack were children. The full extent of the destruction is yet to be determined, with officials describing the attack as "the largest" in recent months.
