RUSSIAN DRONE AND MISSILE ATTACK ON UKRAINE LEAVES EIGHT DEAD, DOZENS INJURED

SUMY, UKRAINE - A massive Russian drone and missile attack on a nine-story building in northern Ukraine's Sumy city has killed eight people and left dozens injured, Ukrainian authorities said Sunday.

According to Ihor Klymenko, Ukraine’s Minister of Internal Affairs, two children were among the victims, while over 400 people managed to escape the building before it was affected by the attack. The Ministry reported that rescuers are currently searching every apartment in the building for any remaining survivors.

Eyewitnesses describe the attack as the largest Russia has carried out in recent months, with widespread destruction reported in the affected area. Sumy is located about 40 kilometers from the border with Russia.

As rescue efforts continue, officials have confirmed that numerous civilians were among those killed, while many more have been wounded.
