Chennai: Royal Philips, a leading global health technology company, showcased its range of cutting-edge medical imaging technologies at the 23rd Asian Oceanian Congress of Radiology (AOCR) 2025 in Chennai. The latest innovations, including AI-enabled CT 5300 system and helium-free 1.5T wide-bore MRI systems, mark significant advancements in addressing long-standing challenges in healthcare.
The new MRI system features BlueSeal magnet technology, which significantly reduces the need for helium, thereby helping hospitals move towards more sustainable and reliable operations. With only 0.5 per cent of the helium typically required by traditional MRI systems, this innovation addresses one of the most common issues faced by healthcare providers.
The CT 5300 system, integrated with AI-powered features such as AI reconstruction and motion correction, aims to enhance diagnostic accuracy while streamlining procedures. This versatile tool is designed for use across various clinical environments, offering a blend of high-speed imaging and low radiation exposure, making it an ideal tool for diagnosing conditions in cardiology, oncology, neurology, and emergency care.
