Riyadh Air Partners with Panasonic Avionics to Enhance In-Flight Entertainment Experience
Riyadh Air has recently partnered with Panasonic Avionics to provide its guests with an immersive entertainment experience on board, marking a significant step forward in redefining the airline's commitment to exceptional customer service. The partnership utilizes Panasonic Avionics' renowned Astrova IFE solution, designed to elevate the overall passenger journey.
The airline's entire Boeing 787-9 fleet will now feature the cutting-edge technology, offering guests an unparalleled range of entertainment options, including prior browsing and selection of content, continuous viewing from flight to flight, and seamless integration with smart devices. Riyadh Air has identified a crucial gap in the industry by incorporating USB-C port charging technology, aligning with Saudi Arabia's mandate for mobile phones to have this function by 2025.
The airline's state-of-the-art entertainment system boasts high-quality content played on advanced 4K OLED HDR 10+ screens, providing cinema-like visuals and interactive capabilities. The system is complemented by high-fidelity audio streaming through Panasonic Avionics' Bluetooth technology, allowing passengers to enjoy their own wireless headphones. Additionally, the USB-C port charging system offers fast charging speeds of up to 100W.
According to Anton Vidgen, Vice President of Guest Experience at Riyadh Air, the partnership represents a significant milestone in the airline's mission to revolutionize the guest experience. By harnessing Panasonic Avionics' technology, Riyadh Air is ensuring that its guests enjoy an unparalleled journey from take-off to landing. The move is particularly noteworthy as it represents a comprehensive overhaul of the legacy in-flight entertainment (IFE) system, allowing the airline to seamlessly integrate the latest generation in hardware and software.
