Riyadh Air Partners with Panasonic Avionics for Enhanced Guest Experience Initiative

Riyadh Air has launched an ambitious collaboration with Panasonic Avionics to enhance its guest experience through advanced in-flight entertainment (IFE) solution, Astrova IFE. The partnership aims to redefine the airline's passenger experience by providing a seamless, immersive, and engaging journey from take-off to landing.

According to sources close to the airline, Riyadh Air will equip its entire Boeing 787-9 fleet with Panasonic Avionics' state-of-the-art IFE solution, enabling guests to access a vast library of high-quality content through advanced 4K OLED HDR10+ screens. The aircraft's entertainment system will feature top-notch cinema-quality visuals, interactive capabilities, and unmatched reliability.

The airline's research has shown that its passengers demand modern features such as USB-C port charging technology, while deeming dated hardware like corded handsets less desirable. Therefore, Riyadh Air is committed to incorporating Panasonic Avionics' advanced technological solutions into its fleet.

To enhance the guest experience, Panasonic Avionics' Astrova IFE solution will also provide seamless access to content from one flight to the next and enable pairing of smart devices. What's more, the airline aims to cater to guests' demands for fast charging technology by integrating up to 100W of DC power via USB-C outlets.

"We are thrilled to partner with Panasonic Avionics, which shares our vision of revolutionizing the guest experience in flight," said Anton Vidgen, Vice President of Guest Experience at Riyadh Air. "Equipping our fleet with this cutting-edge IFE solution represents a significant step forward in our mission to redefine passenger entertainment."

The addition of Panasonic Avionics' technology marks a significant milestone for Riyadh Air as it paves the way for an exceptional and engaging guest experience that rivals what passengers can expect on the ground.
