New Delhi: Indian-origin businesswoman Renuka Jagtiani has become one of the richest Indians in Dubai with an estimated net worth of Rs 486170000000 (approximately $5.6 billion), according to Forbes.
Jagtiani, chairwoman of Middle East retailing giant Landmark Group, based in Dubai is not from the IIT or IIM, but has showcased remarkable business acumen and leadership skills. She ranks at the 56th position on Forbes India's 100 richest tycoons list (2024).
Established by her late husband Micky Jagtiani in 1973, the Landmark Group is a Dubai-based conglomerate with 2,200 stores spread across 24 countries. The group is renowned for its popular homegrown brands, including Max Fashion, Home Centre, and a variety of children's and hospitality businesses.
Under Renuka Jagtiani's leadership, the multi-crore enterprise has expanded its operations in India, where it now boasts an impressive network of over 900 stores. Following her husband's passing in 2023 at the age of 71, Jagtiani took on a more prominent leadership role at the multinational conglomerate.
Despite not holding a degree from IIT or IIM, Renuka Jagtiani holds a Bachelor's degree in Arts from the University of Mumbai and has achieved remarkable business milestones, earning several prestigious accolades including Outstanding Asian Business Woman of the Year (2007) and Businesswoman of the Year (2012).
