Mumbai, February 14 - Reliance Industries' foray into sports development through its philanthropic arm Reliance Foundation has been recognized nationally by none other than the prestigious Best Corporate for Promotion of Sports award, which was presented during the 2025 Sportstar Aces Awards ceremony held today in Mumbai.

The founder and chairperson of Reliance Foundation, Mrs. Nita M Ambani, was at the forefront of this recognition. Her tireless efforts have been instrumental in shaping the narrative of sports development in India. This award not only underscores her exceptional leadership but also highlights the transformative impact of Reliance Foundation's initiatives on promoting sports in the country.

As an added testament to its dedication and commitment, Jyothi Yarraji, a Reliance Foundation athlete competing in track & field events, took home the Sportswoman of the Year award. This achievement is a significant milestone for India's sporting movement, showcasing the caliber of talent being nurtured under Reliance Foundation's grassroots program.

Reliance Foundation has played a pivotal role in India's sporting journey, with initiatives like India House - the country's first-ever national house at the Olympics held in Paris last year. Currently, the foundation supports over 100 athletes across more than 10 Olympic sports, besides its work to foster grassroots football and Olympic sports development.

Through its dedicated efforts, Reliance Foundation has touched the lives of nearly 23 million people - from the grassroots level to the elite sporting fraternity - paving the way for a bright future in Indian sports.
