Ranveer Singh, who will be seen next in Kabir Khan’s 83, took to Instagram to announce the schedule wrap of the flim in London. The actor shared a video of himself where he is seen celebrating the schedule wrap with a glass of champagne.

After the wrap, Ranveer too to Instagram to share a video and wrote, “& that’s a schedule wrap, folks! CHEERS @83thefilm (sic).”

Ranveer Singh and other actors were shooting in the United Kingdom for the past three months. The Padmaavat actor is playing the role of former Indian skipper Kapil Dev in the film based on Indian cricket team’s World Cup win in 1983. The actor was joined by his wife Deepika Padukone on the sets earlier in June. The actress is playing the role of Kapil Dev’s Romi Dev in the film.

Mini Mathur, actress and Kabir Khan’s wife, commented on the post and wrote, “Congratulations!!!! That’s been just about a 563 year long schedule so… about time (sic).”

To which Ranveer replied with a ‘face with tears of joy’ emoji.

On Friday, Saqib Saleem, who is playing the role of Mohinder Amarnath in the film, also took to Instagram to announce that he has also wrapped up his part in London. Sharing a picture of himself where he is seen holding a paper with Jimmy Amarnath written on it, he wrote, “Today I finish a three month long schedule here in the UK. The little boy in me has had the experience of his lifetime. Thank you @kabirkhankk for this .You are a true rockstar!! Yeh film nahi feeling hai !! #schedwrap #thisis83 #83thefilm #jimmyamarnath @83thefilm (sic).”

The actors prepared hard for the film before starting the shooting in London. They spent around a week in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh, to train under experts and players of the team that won the World Cup in 83. Kapil Dev and Mohinder Amarnath took their training sessions and taught them some nitty gritty of the game.

Ranveer Singh also spent a week with Kapil Dev in his Delhi home to get a sense of the former cricker’s mannerisms.

Now that the London schedule is over, fans are eagerly waiting for the release of the film. It is set to hit screens on April 10, next year. The film also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Boman Irani, Ammy Virk. Harddy Sandhu, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jiiva, Sahil Khattar, Chirag Patil and Jatin Sarna, among others.
