Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University Welcomes New Faculty Members Amid Call for National Priorities

Patna: The newly appointed faculty members of Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University (RPCAU) embarked on a new journey as they joined the institution, bringing with them a fresh wave of enthusiasm and expertise. Addressing the gathering after a month-long faculty development programme, VC P S Pandey urged the teachers to prioritize the nation's interests and strive hard to make India a global leader in agricultural sciences and research.
Welcoming the 80 new recruits, Mr Pandey expressed confidence that their induction would accelerate the university's progress in terms of productivity. He highlighted the significance of the faculty development programme in imparting practical skills in teaching, research, finance, and administration to the newly qualified teachers.
Arvind Kumar, former VC of Rani Lakshmi Bai Central Agricultural University, commended RPCAU for hosting a first-of-its-kind faculty development programme, aiming to equip new instructors with essential knowledge and skills. He emphasized the importance of self-discipline and honesty in personal life while encouraging teachers to work tirelessly towards achieving India's goal of becoming a developed nation by 2047.
H P Singh, former VC of RPCAU, commended the diversity among the new faculty members, representing over two dozen states across India. He suggested organizing similar programmes for existing instructors to improve their skill sets and contribute more effectively to the nation's growth.
The programme featured sessions discussing work-life balance, effective communication skills, and various soft skills, with over 100 respected academics from India and abroad interacting with the new recruits and motivating them to excel in their roles. The successful programme is expected to bring significant improvements to RPCAU's teaching efficacy and research capabilities, marking a new chapter of academic excellence under its leadership.
