Rajeev Chandrasekhar Delivers Special Address at Digit Zero1 Awards 2024
New Delhi, January 20, 2025: The Times Network hosted the Digit Zero1 Awards 2024, a landmark event that celebrated advancements in tech and innovation. Industry leaders gathered to honor 71 winners across three categories: the Digit Zero1 Award, Digit Best Buy Award, and Digit Popular Choice Award.
The awards ceremony, which took place at New Delhi, recognized excellence in technology and innovation, with over two decades of expertise in consumer technology. The event served as a platform for meaningful conversations about the future of consumer technology, featuring thought-provoking panel discussions on key trends shaping the tech landscape.
Former Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar delivered a special address at the event, highlighting India's significant presence in global electronics value chains and innovation discourse over the last 4-5 years. He emphasized three important trends to watch out for: digitization, growth of India's footprint in global value chains post-COVID, and emergence of highly intelligent digital products powered by AI.
"India has made a very significant presence in the last 4-5 years," Chandrasekhar said. "We are seeing not just global brands being manufactured here, but also designs being taken to be manufactured here. This transformation across the value chain—design, manufacturing, and testing—has been enabled by the Government of India's pivot from an import substitution framework to an export-led electronics manufacturing and design framework."
The Digit Zero1 Awards 2024 featured an exclusive SKOAR gaming arena, allowing attendees to immerse themselves in the world of esports. The event also saw the launch of a new State-of-the-Art Testing Lab in New Delhi, equipped with the latest technology to extend Digit's device testing capabilities to new product categories.
Rohit Chadda, COO and President - Digital, Times Network, spoke about the importance of authentic and objective product reviews.
